Golden Memories Car Show

A very special event exclusively for original or authentically restored vehicles produced in 1960 or earlier. The Golden Memories Auto Show is sponsored by Friends of Sloan*Longway, making it free to exhibitors and attendees. We welcome all authentic and original automobiles 1960 and prior. No visual modifications are allowed. Registration takes place between 9:00 a.m. and 12 noon the day of the event. Driver and one passenger will receive free admission to the show grounds, Sloan Museum, the Buick Automotive Gallery and 10% off all Sloan Museum Store purchases.

This event is non-competitive, so there will be no judging, just a relaxing day with friends and fellow car enthusiasts who love well preserved and restored automobiles. Lottery drawing for the dash plaque vehicle of the 2011 show. Special recognition to vehicles celebrating a 50, 75 and 100 year anniversaries.

Sloan Museum’s Fall Sunday Drive

Arrive at 9:30am, leave at 10:00am from Buick Gallery.
Limited to only 30 vehicles.

The third annual Sloan Museum Fall Sunday Drive is open to all. You do not need to drive an antique or vintage car. We will travel through beautiful southern Genesee County down to the private Lingenfelter Automobile Collection in the Brighton area.  This impressive collection of high performance and exotic cars from around the world and is being opened just for our participants. We will be stopping for lunch at Bakers Restaurant south of Milford. Lunch is on your own.

Cost is $25.00 per vehicle, driver and one passenger. $10.00 charge for each additional passenger. September 15th, additional charges will apply. Light refreshments, maps and turn and distance notes will be provided. Convenient automobile trailer parking.

Route: Starting from the Buick Gallery we will be heading south through Fenton and Hartland down to the private Lingenfelter Automobile collection in the Brighton area. This impressive collection of high performance and exotic cars from around the world includes some of the most impressive automobiles ever made. As in the past we will be stopping for lunch. Bakers Restaurant south of Milford has been recommended. We will be returning through New Hudson, Milford, Highland, Clyde, Rose Center, Holly, and Grand Blanc.

Sloan Museum Auto Fair

2006 Summer Auto Fair
This event is a fun-filled two-day show with plenty of music, entertainment, vendors and of course, automobiles! The Flint Cultural Center campus becomes home to more than 600 of the best looking cars, trucks and motorcycles around. The event starts Saturday at 9am. At 6pm, the cruise to the Hot Dog Stand in Grand Blanc will start at Sloan Museum. Come back on Sunday at 9am to see everything again and find out who won awards! Event Sat & Sun 9-5pm
Gates open on Saturday and Sunday at 9am. Cruise on Saturday leave the museum at 6:00 to Grand Blanc. On Saturday, vehicle registration closes at 4pm. On Sunday, vehicle registration, for judging only, closes at 12 noon. The rest of Sunday registration closes at 1:00. Awards start on Sunday at 3pm. This fantastic event is open to the public. Just $5 per person allows you to wander among an amazing automobile show.

Enjoy lectures, feature cars, exhibits, planetarium shows, kids activities, music and much more!

Award Plaques can be picked up at Sloan Museum until July 23. After that date, arrangements will be made.
