Art, Cars & Stars

Art, Cars & Stars
Open Now!

Art, Cars & Stars is intended to share the vision of the original pioneers of the automotive industry, while providing an entertaining visual trip through GM’s Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

The vehicles on display represent the various milestones of General Motors; and the exhibit begins with the historical Buick Bug which was driven by Louis Chevrolet before General Motors or Chevrolet Motors Company were created.

The exhibit celebrates the formation of GM at an innocent age when motorized carriages captured the public’s imagination - with the visionaries and the brass era of vehicles and art. The 1908 Buick represents the first General Motors vehicle of Oldsmobile and Buick as brands.

The Engine display celebrates General Motors great strength throughout its history – its engines and powertrains have always maintained the finest quality and performance and will continue to do so in the future.

Quite possibly the most famous NASCAR vehicle of all time is Dale Earnhart's #3 Chevrolet owned by Richard Childress Racing (RCR). This celebrates General Motors over 100 years of winning from the original Buick Bug to the success of today in NASCAR, NHRA, SCCA, and every other sanctioning body from Bonneville to Daytona – Baja Off-Roaders to Rolex Sports vehicles you will find General Motors vehicles in the winners circle.

This exhibit is brought to you by Motorcities Dreamakers; a Grand Blanc-based non-profit devoted to preserving and promoting the passion and purpose of the automotive industry and its people through art and
Fifth Third Bank, a local yet national bank dedicated to assisting people with making their financial dreams reality. Finally, the exhibit is supported by the MotorCities National Heritage Area, an affiliate of the National Park Service dedicated to preserving, interpreting and promoting the automotive and labor heritage of the State of Michigan.  Their support of this program is a demonstration of their commitment to the community.
